I know that that is may seem stupid to people but I don't care. I am tired of being viewed as stupid. I actually had a job interview where the woman told me that she would not hire me because I was too good looking. I told that it was short sighted as her non profit needed attention and it did not hurt to have some who looked good on camera. Or be good on camera. Or be able to get the camera's there.

The Ogle School offers great prices on getting beautiful. And every student is supervised by a teacher. Haircuts start at $9, haircolor at $20, and highlights $25. Manicures are $6 and a pedicure is $10 but for $2 more you can get a spa manicure/pedicure. There is waxing and facials too.

Goodwill

Did you know that Target donates their leftover inventory to Goodwill. I have been in couple of times and found some great deals. A Thomas O'Brian clock for $12, sheet sets for $10 and much more. I go to the one on Greenville and the woman who works there said they get three deliveries a week.

I saw some nice jackets and a Tassimo coffee maker for $7.99. They are normally $160.

Garland Road Thrift Store

I don't normally like thrift stores. They are dirty and you can't find things. This one is nothing like that. It is clean and everything is hung up where you can find things. Last time I went I got Banana Republic jeans for $4 and a Banana Republic skirt for $3. Both in great condition. They also had a nice selection of Coach purses that I am going to check out again. I wanted a new 35 mm film camera and I found one for $2. I have heard people have found Cole Haan boots and Earl jeans.

KXT

KXT is the new public radio station that plays some really great indie music from Texas, Dallas, US and around the world. It is a great station. They are having a fundraiser right now. It is a great deal to become a member. You get all of the discounts from KERA, which includes 2 for 1 to museums, plays and resturants. I don't think there is a theater not on there. You also get a 10% at Half Price Books.

But you get extra ones from KXT like $6.50 movie tickets to Studio Movie Grill, 10% off coffee at Pearl Cup, 15% off at Good Records, and 25% off rooms at the Belmont Hotel. It is totally worth the $35 which is lowest membership.

I used to love Daily Candy. Cool things to do or buy. Problem was all of it was super pricey. I want to create a place were you can find deals and inexpensive places to do things. I am going to try to get some bargains for you too. I hope you will tell me some your tips.
